Big things, small packages. We’re all familiar with the sentiment. But as a business, being small and working to deliver big presents its own set of challenges.
At Jetta, we pride ourselves on being a reliable provider of a vast assortment of quality products, many of which are manufactured at our plant in Oklahoma. As a small business, however, we do not have the luxury of a large team of people researching the market and working on new product strategies. Regardless, our challenge to ourselves is as simple as this: bring the right product to market with the attributes that matter most to our customers at a price that works. Easy? Not exactly. But simple? Yes. Because the bottom line is how we deliver on that can make or break our ability to add value to our relationships and help you maximize your success with Jetta products. And for us, doing it any other way is non-negotiable.
So how do we fulfill that commitment? That’s where we lean on building and maintaining strong partnerships with our customers. We know that if we get the relationship right, engaging in honest, transparent conversations, the end result will be the creation of new, relevant products that allow our customers to compete and win with their customers.
During my time at Jetta, our best new product launches have happened because customers identified a demand and what was needed to meet it. And history has shown that when we deliver on customer requests, they respond with support.
In 2022, this has resulted in the launch of several new products. Our Matthew and Bartley tubs are new additions to our five-foot skirted tub program, with Matthew being 48” wide and Bartley 36” wide. They both feature a backsplash molded right in – making them attractive to builders who want a skirted tub without the need to tile.
Secondly, we introduced 60” center-drain shower bases in various widths to meet hospitality or multi-family needs.
Lastly, we are venturing into the wall kit category. Our first product is an acrylic wall set with a white subway tile pattern that works well with our skirted tubs.
Looking forward to 2023, our product schedule is already packed. We will be updating and refreshing our freestanding collection, and you can expect to see new styles introduced throughout the year. Also coming online will be further additions to our shower base program and wall kits. As always, conversations with you, our customers, have driven these changes.
I have spent much of my career in product development roles, and I can truthfully say bringing new products to market with Jetta is one of the best parts of my job. Do you have feedback on how we can innovate new products to help your business? I would love to hear from you. Drop me a note here.
